Experimental study of pressure loss in hybrid cooling tower with finned tube radiator

Abstract The paper deals with the problem of enhancement cooling recycled water in industry. authors developed a new design hybrid tower fill pack consisting inclined-corrugated contact plates and tube radiator. flow during process flows inside radiator to avoid direct air, preventing biofouling process. In addition, external surface is modified by finning for heat transfer intensification. purpose work was an experimental study pressure losses tower. relationship drop through dry from average air velocity determined. maximum increase hydraulic finned tubes less than 4.5% at 7 m/s compared smooth tubes. Furthermore, it found that when wetting density 28.3 m 3 /(m 2 ·h), drift droplets can be decreased.
